Earlobe Repair Surgery

Earlobe Repair Surgery

Whether from heavy earrings, trauma, or gauges, stretched or torn earlobes are a common cosmetic concern. At Dermatology Solutions, we offer in-office earlobe repair surgery to restore the natural shape and contour of the earlobe with minimal downtime.

What Is Earlobe Repair Surgery?
Earlobe repair is a minor surgical procedure performed under local anesthesia. It is designed to correct:
Stretched or elongated piercings
Torn earlobes from accidental trauma
Sagging lobes from aging or earring wear
Previous gauge piercings

How Does It Work?
During the procedure:
The old stretched piercing or elongated portion of the lobe is carefully excised or shortened.
The remaining tissue is strategically sutured to close the defect and restore a natural shape.
Fine sutures are used to ensure minimal scarring and optimal cosmetic results.

Recovery and Aftercare
Sutures are removed in 1 to 2 weeks.
Patients can return to normal activities the same day.
A new piercing can be safely placed one month after repair, in a new location away from the scar to prevent recurrence.

Why Choose Dermatology Solutions?
Our board-certified dermatologists are highly experienced in aesthetic and reconstructive procedures of the face and ears. We take a meticulous approach to each repair to ensure natural-looking results tailored to your anatomy and goals.
